Riversongs!! This Sunday April 27th at the Elk Creek Cafe

You do not want to miss this year's Riversongs at the Elk Creek Cafe to benefit PVCA! Come on out this Sunday to Millheim, PA and enjoy the sounds of the valley

Join the Penns Valley Conservation Association (PVCA) for their fourth annual Riversongs festival at the Elk Creek Café in Millheim on Sunday, April 27th from 3:00 to 6:00pm.

This festive event will include live music, craft beers and fine foods available from the Café menu, and an opportunity to support Penns Valley’s local watershed organization by making the suggested donation of $10 at the door.

The line-up for the event includes a guest appearance from Millheim’s own, the Up Texas Chapel choir.  Lux Bridge will headline playing high energy Celtic music, and our local favorites The Poe Valley Troubadours will bring a mix of Americana, roots, bluegrass, gospel and more.

Looking for a skid steer

Helllooo!!

Greetings on this most beautiful day and for many-- a most holy week (whether around the table, in the sanctuary, or the stream)

Next Saturday April 26th we are all coming together to keep our drinking water clean, and the trash out of our fishing holes. Last week we went into the field with Rod Fye from Centre County Recycling & Refuse Authority to scope out some sites for the Annual PVCA Streambank Cleanup.  This is what we found-- creosote covered rail ties in flowing water not too far from Paradise Road near a sink hole.

We have permission from the landowner (who is not doing the dumping) to remove these old rail ties, but we are looking for a volunteer who may have a skid steer (or a hardy tractor) to help remove these on Saturday April 26th. The Townships are not able to use equipment on private land (and Bill Wolfe is out of town)--- can YOU help us out?
